The formation of Monti De Fiore dates back to the eruption of 1974.

From the equipped area of Piano Fiera, in the Adrano territory, it is possible to undertake the itinerary that leads to Monti De Fiore, among pine forests frequented by the wild cat, guest star of the whole area. Downstream the area of Piano dei Grilli and upstream the western wall of the volcano offer unique views to central Sicily. Sunset from the top of the craters, colored by volcanic minerals, is particularly recommended.
