Grotta dei Lamponi

Grotta dei Lamponi, formed during the 1614/24 eruption, is a very particular lava tube on the north side of the volcano. Trekking begins close to the Rifugio Ragabo, along Mareneve road. The Dammusi lava fields, Pineta Ragabo and Timparossa Faggeta offer wonderful landscape. For the exploration of the cave, it is advisable to use a protective helmet and a light.
